Emergency Shelter

Securus House: A Safe Haven for Healing and Hope more than just a place to stay, Securus House is a lifeline for women and their children escaping domestic abuse. Within our walls, survivors find peace, protection, and a path forward. We provide not only safety, but also emotional support, education on the dynamics of abuse, and access to life changing resources designed to help individuals reclaim their independence and rebuild their futures one step at a time.

Legal Advocacy

Victims are provided with clear, compassionate guidance as they navigate the legal system. From understanding court procedures and proper courtroom conduct to connecting with trusted attorneys and accessing personalized resources, every step is explained with care. Our experienced Legal Advocates stand by each resident’s side, offering unwavering support throughout the legal process to ensure they never have to face it alone.

Case Management

The Residential Program Case Manager partners with each guest to understand their unique circumstances and needs. Together, they create a personalized case plan, set achievable SMART goals, and work through any challenges that may arise. This collaborative approach supports residents on their path to independence and a future free from abuse.

Support Group

All residents are invited to take part in our weekly support group sessions, designed for both women and children living in-house. These groups offer a safe and nurturing space where participants can connect, share, and heal together. Through open conversations and shared stories, individuals gain comfort, resilience, and a deeper sense of community among fellow survivors.

Children’s Program

Our children’s program, known as the “Power-UP Program,” is designed to support learning and development in a fun and nurturing setting. After school, children can engage in activities that encourage personal growth, creativity, and confidence—all in a safe and comfortable environment that feels like home.

Community Education

Community organizations such as civic groups, clubs, churches, and schools can request presentations to learn more about domestic violence and its impact on our community. Additionally, we offer in-service training on stalking and domestic violence for law enforcement and professionals in related fields. Contact us to schedule a presentation or training session.

Volunteer Training

Our volunteer program offers a comprehensive 12-hour training session for individuals eager to make a difference. Volunteers play a vital role in our program’s success, serving in various capacities such as providing support to victims, handling crisis calls, assisting resident children, offering legal advocacy, performing clerical tasks, organizing donations, and fulfilling other essential roles.

Prevention

Prevention is paramount, and education is the cornerstone of our approach. In addition to offering support services to victims, we are dedicated to raising awareness and providing the necessary education to prevent abuse from occurring in the first place. Together, we can foster a safer, more compassionate community by addressing the root causes of domestic violence and promoting healthy relationships.
